Cockle Island Boat Club: Final Night of Crowe Cup Racing

Last night marked the final evening of the Crowe Cup racing for this season at Cockle Island Boat Club, and what a thrilling series it has been! The competition was intense, the camaraderie was strong, and the joy of sailing was evident on every course.

But don’t pack away your gear just yet—there’s plenty more racing to come! We’re excited to remind everyone that the season is far from over. Our popular September Series is just around the corner, and we have more exciting races lined up as part of the Round the Lough and Islands Series.

A huge thank you goes out to all who have made the Crowe Cup possible. To our volunteer Race Officials, your dedication and hard work have ensured that each race was a success. Your efforts behind the scenes have been the foundation of this series, and we can’t thank you enough.

To the sailors, your enthusiasm and sportsmanship have been the driving force of this competition. Whether you were pushing for the win or simply enjoying the race, your participation is what makes our events truly special.

And to our supporters and club members, thank you for cheering us on and keeping the energy high throughout the season.

Let’s continue to make the most of this sailing season! See you all on the water for the September Series and the remaining Round the Lough and Islands races. Fair winds!

Thanks to Matthew Jenkins for this superb photos.

Results from last night are available on our website and Facebook.
