The first race of this season’s Crow Cup got underway with light winds, and it initially looked like it might be a challenge to complete even one round of the course. Crews had to work hard to make the most of every puff of breeze, and for a while, progress was slow.
Fortunately, the wind filled in as the race went on, and the fleet was rewarded with much-improved conditions. Not only was one round completed, but the boats managed to get round the course twice, making for an excellent and competitive start to the series.
A big well done to Osprey for a strong performance and to everyone who took part. It was great to see the season get off the mark with a successful and enjoyable race. Here’s to many more!
Here are the results.
