Round the Lough Series Kicks Off!

Round the Lough – Week 1 Results (11 May 2025)

The 2025 Round the Lough series got off to a fantastic start this weekend at Cockle Island Boat Club, with a healthy turnout and a good mix of boats lining up for the first race.

Despite varied conditions on the Lough, all but one boat managed to complete the course. After a close-fought race and some sharp sailing, it was Scamp that took the honours, finishing with a corrected time of 1:33:15 and claiming 1st place.

Bird of Sunset (S) and Plexus followed closely in 2nd and 3rd respectively, while Osprey (S) and Celtic Spirit rounded out the finishing order. Unfortunately, Maximoose (S) retired from the race.
